Salzburg flake master made from solid, local oak wood

For a good morning!

“Eat breakfast like an emperor”, as the old saying goes, and even modern science doesn’t change that. A healthy start to daily life is important.

Whether for school, in the office or in the workshop: homemade breakfast muesli gives you strength and energy!

BUT only freshly crushed cereal flakes are wholesome!

Industrially produced flakes can be kept for months. Unfortunately, we hear and read little about the fact that important vitamins and enzymes are destroyed during the necessary preservation process. All the more reason for ready-made muesli to be skillfully advertised with enticing claims! Many mothers reach for the various muesli packets on the supermarket shelves full of conviction in order to provide their family and, above all, their children with healthy food. Perhaps you do too?

However, the organic label does NOT say much about the value of the flakes.
BIO” is an important basic requirement for a healthy diet. But the best, organically grown grain can be rendered almost worthless by incorrect handling.

In contrast to “FAST-FOOD-FLOCKEN”, a grain crusher serves fresh, valuable flakes in your kitchen in no time at all – in the blink of an eye, so to speak.

Children enjoy cranking and are happy to help put healthy muesli on the breakfast table.

The Salzburg flake master squeezes:

  • Cereals the size of oats, spelt, wheat, rye, etc.
  • Small grains such as quinoa, amaranth etc.
  • Linseed
  • Poppy seed
  • Spices such as peppercorns, coriander, caraway seeds
  • Spice mixtures
  • and much more

It is not necessary to soak the ingredients before flaking, but it is possible.

In contrast to grain mills, where stones crush the grain, we use nickel-free stainless steel rollers in our Flockenmeister .
This is important for nickel allergy sufferers!

Are you wondering why we don’t use stones for pressing? The answer is simple: pressing the grains allows oils to escape and penetrate the stones. That would be extremely unhygienic.

The Salzburg flake master impresses with its valuable woodturning work.

The housing of the flake squeezer is made of solid, local and untreated oak wood by an Austrian master craftsman.
The careful, extremely precise and elaborate workmanship is immediately recognizable and will inspire you.

The grains pass quickly and without resistance through the round, smooth container to the rollers and fall directly into the integrated collection container after pressing. This means we avoid breakable glass and plastics.

The round shape of the funnel prevents gaps, cracks or joints and guarantees maximum hygiene.
The hopper is removable , which also makes occasional cleaning of the rollers extremely easy. Cleaning is particularly important when pressing seeds containing oil, such as linseed.

The screw clamp supplied ensures an optimum hold on a wide variety of worktops (table tops, window sills, etc.).

You can also grind spices with the Salzburger Flake Master:

Crush spices for your home-baked bread with the Salzburger Flake Master. Pressing produces larger, thin flakes. These can be crumbled into tiny particles by hand in a matter of seconds.

Statement by chef Franz Sövegjarto – gold medal winner at the IKA/Culinary Olympics in Frankfurt:

The Salzburger Flockenmeister crushes spices better than any mortar!”

The spices are wonderfully distributed in the bread. For example, you don’t feel caraway as a spice in the bread, but the taste of the caraway spreads throughout the bread!
