The Salzburg flour mill MT 18 D for commercial use

Continuous operation over several hours

The robust, commercial grain mill MT 18 has proven itself for more than 4 decades in commercial use.

In contrast to the “normal” Salzburger Grain Mill MT 18, which is suitable for the quick need of a few kilos of flour in hotels, restaurants, health food shops, etc.,

the Salzburger Grain Mill MT 18 D is equipped with a motor for continuous operation over several hours.

This special mill is thus able to cover the flour requirement of approx. 50- 70 kg per day without causing any problems.

1 kg of flour for bread making is available in about 3 minutes!

Our open and honest statement on the service life and performance of the mill in one statement:

The maximum operating time of the motor cannot be exactly defined by us, as it depends on various factors:

On the fineness of the desired flour: the finer the degree – the lower the production rate.

On the moisture of grain: Moist grain causes condensation in the milling chamber and can result in clumping of the flour. This can lead to a high degree of warming and consequently blocking of the spout.

The hardness of the corn (corn is much harder than, for example, wheat or spelt) also affects the heating up of the flour at the spout, which can result in clogging.

Conclusion: Dry, healthily stored grain allows the milling of the finest flour with the least possible warming.

The granite mill-stones used in our mills produces powder-fine flour for the finest bakeries.

Master bakers particularly appreciate the fact that breakout of stone particles and unpleasant stone grit in the flour (as far as we know until now) does not occur.

Your guests and customers can therefore enjoy harmless and hearty bites!

What matters in commercial use: Simplicity and long-life service?

The robust, almost indestructible stainless steel thread guarantees a millimetre-precise, step less adjustment of the degree of flour fineness required over a period of decades. Even during milling it is possible to adjust the fineness without switching off the motor.

Thanks to its 380 volt industrial motor, the MT 18 D commercial grain mill is able to process convincingly fine flour over a period of several hours. The motor is so dimensioned to enable it to be turned on and off during milling, even when processing very hard grain, such as corn.

The milling chamber is manufactured – by conviction – in wood. In contrast to most plastics, wood is known to have an antistatic and antibacterial effect.

Our milling chamber is thus guaranteed BPA-free.

Cleaning the milling chamber: The simple design makes it possible to open the milling chamber without using any tools. The funnel is removed and you can clean the inside of the mill with a brush or a vacuum cleaner.

The funnel of the mill is lathed from hard, beech wood. The housing for the motor is made of melded beech wood. The surfaces of all wooden parts are treated only with organic beeswax oil

As a small manufacturer, we are able to respond to any of your particular needs.

Let us know which types of grain are particularly important to you and we can adjust the millstones by special processing.
